The company I'm working for are having a finacial crisis. Everyone will get 10% of their salary cut off. Considering what I'm getting at the moment, it isn't even worth going to work.

This morning, I handed in a letter to my Office Manager to ask for retrenchment. He said everything's fine. I left, happy that I had done this difficult task.

Guess what? Almost every Dick, Tom, Jack and Harry phoned me and asked if it's true I resigned. I said no, 'cos I asked to be retrenched.

I found out during lunch time that the office manager had told almost everyone that I handed in my resignation form.

I don't believe it! I trusted him to keep it secret, yet he blabbed the whole office about it.
